Good Kids partnered with Portland-based Happy Lucky for a nationwide project for Adidas. They needed to create an in-store experience in golden yellow, for the launch of Supernova Rise running shoes across 20+ locations on the same day—one that would captivate shoppers, drive engagement, and highlight the shoe’s unparalleled comfort and performance. The goal was clear: revolutionize the traditional retail try-on experience into something immersive, tactile, and worth talking about.

PROJECT

Design and execute Supernova Try-On Lounges across 23 flagship Adidas stores, including major locations in New York and Santa Monica. The lounges were inspired by boutique design principles—plush, inviting, and high-end, seamlessly blending soft materials, bold brand elements, and interactive storytelling.

Inside each lounge:

  • Curated Comfort – Cozy seating areas designed for an effortless try-on experience.

  • Product Storytelling – Tech-focused displays highlighting the innovative features of the Supernova shoe.

  • Branded Ambiance – A carefully designed space with campaign imagery, warm lighting, and props to immerse guests in the world of Adidas.

  • Gift with Purchase Incentives – Exclusive Adidas-branded foam rollers and premium running socks to elevate post-run recovery.

  • Live Product Testing – Shoppers could test the shoes on-site and return them within 30 days if they weren’t completely satisfied.

The project focused on engaging a young adult audience with interests in exclusive merchandise, collectibility, and the intersection of technology, art, and design. Our agency was tasked with full end-to-end production, spanning ideation/concept to final build and staffing—within a very short six-week timeframe!
